Embodied Wellness Workshop
We all want our social systems to be healthy and empowering for those who work there and the community. But how do we maintain this wellness within the system we are currently in?
In this workshop, participants will explore the Embodied Wellness framework and create an action plan to integrate its principles into their daily lives. Through discussions, short readings, reflective writing, and mindfulness practices, participants will develop practical tools to support their well-being as they navigate the unique challenges of working in social service professions. Together, we’ll practice strategies to sustain energy, prevent burnout, and cultivate resilience—so participants can continue serving their communities from a place of balance, strength, and wholeness.
Key points of the Embodied Wellness framework:
- Naming toxic patterns
- Practicing real self-care
- Practicing a love ethic
- Imagining new possibilities
- Integrating the internal and external
- Taking action for liberation
This workshop is ideal for anyone seeking to align their internal growth with external action, imagine the new possibilities for our social service professions, and work toward collective liberation in our communities.
